Don't Lose Your Data

What's your contingency plan? We know how important your data is. If hardware fails, natural disaster strikes, a theft occurs, or a system outage causes you to lose your data, it will be gone forever. Without it, your business could come to a screaming halt — sales records lost, expensive software gone, and employee data unrecoverable. So what can you do to ensure you're not stuck up a river without a paddle?

You can back up your data. Then back it up once more!

The industry standard is the 3-2-1 backup method:

  • Create 3 copies of your data.
  • Keep copies on 2 types of storage media.
  • Store 1 of these copies offsite.

There's no limit to how many copies you can keep. The more, the merrier — three is the minimum.

Keeping your information on a single device means a single point of failure. Keep at least two copies on separate devices like network-attached drives or an external hard drive.

The offsite copy is critical. Physical threats — theft, fires, floods — can destroy everything on site in seconds. Our Managed Offsite Backup Service is an excellent solution for this layer.

Remember: once your data is gone, there's no getting it back. So back up your backup.
